My favourite blushes

I thought I'd start this blog with something I consider a lot. What is my favourite blush? Which one should I wear today? WHY CAN'T I WEAR THEM ALL AT ONCE (a woman in NARS once told me she used to wear three a day, I need to look in to that)????. So here I am, without one favourite, miles above the rest that I can just live happily with.

I love them all. And here are my favourites blushes (of all time.. so far):

NARS Gaiety:

I got this little pink beast a couple of months ago and I LOOOVE it. After stalking to NARS counter for a long time, contemplating if I wanted to spend over £20 on a blush, and instead always opting for the eyeshadows, I finally gave in. Naturally, I love it. It doesn't go on too heavily so you can definitely build this baby up. It gives me what I deem to be a good amount of colour and 'flushness.' Like most people, I have a love/hate relationship with the packaging. It looks so cool and sleek and for a few minutes I just gaze at it and appreciate it. Ten seconds later it's covered in crap and looking pretty gross.

Collection 2000 Shimmer shades:

Stepping down from the high end makeup, because I am after all a poor student, Collection 2000 are always there for me. And this blush had not let me down. This is the blush that I take away with me if I'm traveling (because it generously provides me with 4 different colours, that I can use individually or altogether if I wish). Nice colours, niee pigmentation and nice price. I never go near the orange one though.. I mean to, but then I get scared at the last minute and go for a pink.

The blush comes without individual names :( so from left to right first row first and the bottom I am originally going to refer to them as : colours 1, 2, 3, 4.

Swatches, left to right: colours 1, 2, 3, 4.

Bourjois put blush in Rose D'or:

My most recent blush but still favoured over others I have. The story about this one (skip a few lines if you really don't care about a story) is that I'm not the biggest NARS orgasm fan. I swatch it and I think 'not today.' I don't love it and I don't want to splash out on it. So when I saw Sleek Rose Gold I HAD to have it. Of course, I've never been able to get it because it's sold out everywhere. Everywhere. One day I saw Rose D'or and it had an orgasmesque thing going on with it. So I thought.. what the hell? It's a lot more pink than orgasm and definitely not a very close dupe. But I like it. My search for Sleek Rose Gold continues. It's odd because I'm not in love with orgasm, but I really badly want to check out how much I'm indifferent to it by using Rose Gold. Sigh!

From this (not great) swatch, it seems that there is a LOT of glitter in this product, but it doesn't transfer to the face
When I tried to swatch this blush in the shop, there was basically zero pigmentation. I quickly googled makeupalley reviews and they seemed positive, so I got it. Turns out the blush apparently goes quite hard and is then difficult to use- this must have been what happened to the tester. However, the brush which comes with it is surprisingly good at picking up the product. I use it to grab a load of the product and then swipe it on my cheeks. I then blend it out using another brush. I'm generally not a fan of any brushes/tools which come with makeup as they're usually terrible, but this one I can deal with. Here he is:

What a little cutie

Top row: Bourjois Rose D'or, Nars Gaiety, Collection 2,000 colours 1 and 2
Bottom row: Collection 2,000 colours 3 and 4

So, here is the end of my first ever blog entry. Exciting stuff... If anyone is reading, what are your favourite blushes?
